Thank you for choosing FileGnome for your hosting needs. We can't wait to see the amazing things you'll create!
When you purchase web hosting or related services, your website or application may be hosted on shared servers where resources are allocated among multiple users. Each customer receives a unique address (DNS) and a fair portion of server resources.
You agree not to use FileGnome servers as a source, intermediary, or destination for mail bombs, denial-of-service attacks, or any other abusive activity. Server hacking, unauthorized access attempts, or use of FileGnome services as an anonymous gateway are strictly prohibited.
FileGnome reserves the right to temporarily or permanently remove any website or account that violates this policy or threatens network stability. This includes removing all associated accounts under your ownership if one is found to be in breach.
Additionally, you agree not to:
You are solely responsible for:
FileGnome servers are not intended as permanent archives. FileGnome assumes no liability for data loss, corruption, or accidental deletion.
Our hosting services are not PCI-DSS or HIPAA compliant, and must not be used to store or process sensitive payment or health-related data.
You may not use your hosting plan as a general file storage or backup service. Accounts exceeding 10 GB of storage may receive a usage warning and must then reduce data volume. FileGnome reserves the right to temporarily suspend disk write functionality if this limit is exceeded.
In cases of suspected compromise or abuse, FileGnome reserves the right to conduct a forensic investigation to maintain network integrity and security.
You remain the data controller for any personal data processed or stored using FileGnome services. FileGnome acts solely as a service provider and accepts no liability for your handling of personal or sensitive data.
As part of our managed hosting and operational procedures, FileGnome may access hosted systems or data only when necessary for maintenance, troubleshooting, security, or other purposes outlined in this Agreement and our Terms of Service.
You can choose to host domains with FileGnome. We will register these domains for you, and charge you a yearly fee which will be agreed upon by both parties before registration.
You have the right to transfer any domain hosted in FileGnome managed hosting to another registrar, if all outstanding balances related to this domain are paid. Simply contact our support team to initiate a transfer. Please note domains may be transfer locked for the first 6 months after purchase or following a previous transfer as per ICANN regulations.
In the event that FileGnome terminates its service, or your membership, we will provide you with three months from the day you are notified of this change to request a transfer. If a transfer is not completed within three months or you do not respond to our notification within this time frame, the domain will expire at its next regular expiration date and then become available for purchase on the general market.
You may not use FileGnome services for any of the following activities:
Access to FileGnome requires the purchase of a monthly/yearly subscription or prepaid access token. Tokens are available in 3, 6, or 12-month increments. Once your token expires, your access to FileGnome will end unless you manually purchase a new one. Users may cancel their membership at any time before the 1st of the upcoming month and are entitled to a full refund for any unused full months remaining on their current token or subscription.
FileDrop is intended exclusively for temporary file sharing. It should not be used for short- or long-term data storage or as a backup service.
FileGnome may offer access to PAGEr, a portfolio creation tool, and Blocks, a visual site builder. Both PAGEr and Blocks are considered beta software and are provided strictly "as is" for your convenience. By using these tools, you acknowledge and accept that they are experimental and may contain bugs, incomplete features, or stability issues. You further understand and agree that their use is at your own risk. FileGnome is not liable for any data loss, overwriting, corruption, or other damage to files within your hosting space caused directly or indirectly by these beta tools. Users are strongly advised to maintain independent backups of all site content before using PAGEr or Blocks.
FileGnome reserves the right to discontinue any part of its services, or the entire platform, with at least one month's prior notice. This notice will be provided via the website and/or email. In the event of a service shutdown, FileGnome will refund any remaining unused time on prepaid tokens.
Welcome to FileGnome. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of FileGnome's products and services, including web hosting, email, file sharing via FileDrop, file conversion via FileSaucer, and any other associated tools or platforms. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not accept these Terms, you may not use the Service.
FileGnome provides a streamlined hosting platform that includes web and email hosting, file sharing, file conversion, and creation tools designed for convenience and simplicity. The Service is intended for personal and light professional use but is not designed for enterprise or mission-critical workloads.
Users may cancel their membership at any time before the 1st of the upcoming month and will receive a full refund for any unused full months remaining on their current bill.
Each FileGnome membership includes access to FileSaucer, a file conversion tool that provides unlimited conversions under a fair use policy. While there is no personal conversion cap, the system operates on a shared pool of conversion credits available to all users, which resets each month. Excessive or automated use may lead to temporary restrictions. FileSaucer and other FileGnome tools may be modified, replaced, or discontinued at any time without prior notice.
FileDrop is designed for temporary file transfers only. It should not be used for short- or long-term storage or as a backup solution. Users are solely responsible for maintaining backups of their websites, files, and email data, as further outlined in the hosting agreement.
Users are advised to use the provided backup functionality before using PAGEr or Blocks.
User data is retained only as long as necessary to operate the Service. Upon request, FileGnome will delete your data from its systems. FileGnome also reserves the right to automatically delete inactive user data three months after a prepaid plan expires. It is the user's responsibility to back up all website and email content before expiration or deletion.
FileGnome reserves the right to discontinue any service or the entire platform with at least one month's prior notice, provided either via email or on the official website. Should the Service be discontinued, users will receive a refund for any unused prepaid time remaining on their access token.
Users may not use FileGnome for illegal, abusive, or malicious activities, including but not limited to the distribution of malware, spam, or infringing content. FileGnome reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts violating these Terms, without refund, at its sole discretion.
These Terms may be updated periodically. The most current version will always be available on the FileGnome website. Continued use of the Service after updates are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
